Parametric insurance uses objective data triggers (like GPS or AIS satellite tracking) rather than subjective claims assessment. Once the delay threshold—such as 10 days for sea or 24 hours for air—is verified by our independent data oracles, a payout is triggered automatically without the need for a claims adjuster.

Do I need to prove a financial loss to receive a payout from ESCM?

No. Unlike traditional claims, you do not need to provide invoices for lost sales or proof of business interruption. The payout is triggered by the event of the delay itself, providing immediate liquidity that you can use however you need to mitigate the disruption.

What are the specific delay triggers for Asia-Europe transit?

We offer precision triggers tailored to your mode of transport. For Air Cargo, thresholds include 6, 12, or 24-hour delays. For Maritime Freight via the Middle Corridor, triggers are set at 6, 8, or 10-day delays. Coverage begins the moment cargo departs the origin port.

What is Maritime Parametric Cargo Delay Compensation?

It is a data-driven financial guarantee triggered by transit time. If AIS satellite data confirms a vessel is delayed beyond a 10-day threshold, a payout is triggered automatically without the need to prove physical damage.

Does the delay insurance cover the Middle Corridor rail route?

Currently, Parametric Delay Compensation is available for Maritime and Air freight. Rail shipments between China and Europe are not yet covered by this specific automated payout model.
